4 Good Reasons to Study with Us
We try to be environmentally friendly.
We are acutely aware of the fact that travelling to the UK to study English is bad for the environment.  As far as possible, we try to mitigate this damage by donating to carbon offset projects.  If you travel to the UK by plane, we'll calculate your CO2 footprint and make an appropriate donation to a carbon offsetting project.
We find opportunities for you to use your English with English people.
What is the difference between studying for 2 weeks in an English school in your country and studying for 2 weeks in an English school in the UK?   One of the main differences is that in the UK you can use your English with English people.  We believe that it is important to help you do this.  We do this through the following means: by selecting homestay providers that have time to talk to students; by using guest speakers; by arranging for students to meet local people when they go sightseeing; and by forming strong links with local businesses and organisations.  We feel that it is important for students to have a learning experience that they wouldn’t be able to have in their own country.
Our classes have a maximum of 8 students.
Very few English Schools in the UK have such small class sizes.  We believe it is important to have small class sizes as it means the teacher can give you more individual attention.  In 2019 our average class size was 4.
Durham is beautiful and safe.
With its cathedral, castle and river, Durham is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful cities in the UK.  The huge student population also make it a very lively and exciting city.  According to The Complete University Guide, a guidebook of UK universities, Durham is the third safest place in the UK to study.
